Shutdown by Laurell K Hamilton

18655529Title:  Shutdown (novella)

Series:  Anita Blake Book #22.6

Author:  Laurell K. Hamilton

Rating:  B

A brand new Anita Blake short story, featuring our favorite bad boy werewolf, yep, I mean Richard Zeeman. Hey, I’ve been telling you, he’s been working his therapy: read on to see the results that hard work and being brave enough to own your whole self can get you.

Review:  This was a quick little novella I managed to snag online – for free! – during the government shutdown.  I was just a quick little story that Hamilton put out there for her readers while they were frustrated dealing with issues stemming from it, in a nice little attempt to help them get through it.  Being an avid fan and reader of all things Anita, I was quick to download it.  It was a great little short story, that gave us some insight into Richard and his relationship with fiancé Ellen.  And of course it is always amusing to see Anita’s reactions to others and vice versa..LOL  If you’re a fan, this was a fun read if you need an Anita fix….:)  While it was short, it was also entertaining.  If you’re not a fan, I recommend reading the whole Anita Blake series…there is just so much to these relationships that you are missing before this novella…I mean, come on, there are over 22 books and counting!  You definitely need some more insight into these characters before this novella…:)  Hamilton’s Anita Blake series is one of my absolute favorites, and there is simply nothing out there that even compares!
