This Week’s Most Anticipated
This is a great week for new releases, and there are a number of them that I can’t wait to get my hands on! The first of which is The Winter Long by Seanan McQuire due out on Sept. 2nd – which I must admit I have been waiting forever for! I absolutely LOVE the October Daye series – it is one of my favorites (if not my top one)! The only thing is that it is about a year span or so before each new title is released…:( And considering I can’t put these books down once I start, they only last me a day before I’m back to waiting again. However, I have to say that Seanan McQuire makes each one well worth the wait!
About the series: October Daye knows how cruel Faerie can be to its changeling children. Born in San Francisco and carried to the Summerlands by her pureblood mother when she was just a child, she was raised in a world that never seemed capable of understanding her. She ran away the moment the opportunity presented itself, only to find that the human world wasn’t any better. Things have been going downhill ever since. The Winter Long is preceded by Rosemary and Rue, A Local Habitation, An Artificial Night, Late Eclipses, One Salt Sea, Ashes of Honor, and Chimes at Midnight.
Blurb from The Winter Long: Toby thought she understood her own past; she thought she knew the score. She was wrong. It’s time to learn the truth. The Winter Long sees questions answered and old debts finally put to rest. There is more to lose than there has ever been before, and whatever comes next, it will not come easy…

Next up is Son of No One by Sherrilyn Kenyon also due out on Sept 2nd. And really? What else is there to say? I’m a fan of the Dark Hunter series, and have yet to be disappointed by any of her books. The good thing is that Kenyon also manages to continually release book after book in one series or another – you always seem to have something new to read from her. She’s simply amazing at delivering a phenomenal read!
About the series: In the world of the Dark-Hunters nothing is ever as it seems. Life and death both take on a whole new meaning as this immortal cadre of warriors fight to protect mankind from those creatures and demons who would prey on us. It’s dark. It’s deadly and it’s a whole lot of fun and laughter, with larger than life characters. This is book #24 in the series, and is preceded by Fantasy Lover, Night Pleasures, Night Embrace, Dance with the Devil, Kiss of the Night, Night Play, Seize the Night, Sins of the Night, Unleash the Night, Dark Side of the Moon, The Dream-Hunter, Devil May Cry, Upon the Midnight Clear, Dream Chaser, Acheron, One Silent Night, Dream Warrior, Bad Moon Rising, No Mercy, Retribution, The Guardian, Time Untime, and Styxx.
Blurb from Son of No One: In Son of No One, next in the blockbuster The Dark-Hunters series by Sherrilyn Kenyon, it’s not easy being life’s own personal joke, but Josette Landry has made an unstable peace with the beast. Completely down on her luck, Josette takes a job with a local paranormal group as a photographer and camerawoman. Yeah, they’re even crazier than she is. The only paranormal thing she believes in is the miracle that keeps her rusted-out hoopty running. But when something truly evil is released into the world, they are forced to call in reinforcements. From the moment Josette meets Cadegan, she knows something about him isn’t quite right. Mysterious and armed with lethal sarcasm, he seems a lot older than his age.
Centuries ago, Cadegan was viciously betrayed into an immortal prison by the only person he’d ever trusted and was cast into an immortal prison. Forced against his will to do good, he hates everything in life. All he wants is a way out. But for the damned there is only eternal suffering. And yet there is something about Josette that intrigues him. Something he can’t seem to fight and the last time he felt this way about a woman, it cost him everything. He knows he has to stay away from her, but the unleashed demon is hell-bent on consuming her soul. If one more innocent is taken, he will be sent back to an unimaginable prison that makes his current hell look like paradise. But how can he keep her safe when his being with her is the greatest threat of all?
